Wagner wears a Pittsburgh Pirates home uniform whereas Collins is dressed in a Boston Red Sox road uniform. Based on similar photographs taken at this time, this image was captured on June 12, 1939 during an exhibition game in Cooperstown, NY to celebration the 100th anniversary of baseball in Cooperstown. This image exists in a similar form as BL-3247-88.
