West is looking out onto the field over his shoulder with a serious expression. He is holding the baseball bat on the right side of his body. West is dressed in the St. Louis Browns road uniform. Baseball fans are visible in the unidentified stadium seating in the background. Based on West's uniform and his time with the St. Louis Browns this digital image was taken between 1934 and 1936.
