DescriptionNatural stain wooden bat, 31 ounces, with "Louisville Slugger / 125 / Hillerich & Bradsby / Powerized" in the center of the barrel and "Genuine / Gutierrez / Louisville Slugger" near the end of the barrel. There is a stripe around the perimeter of the taper to the left of the center trademark logo which has been colored-in with black marker. Barrel end tip and knob end have "7" handwritten in black ink. Knob end also has "31" handwritten in black ink off to the side.
Bio/Historical NoteBat used by César Gutiérrez of the Detroit Tigers to record seven hits in seven consecutive at-bats during a 12 inning game against the Cleveland Indians on June 21, 1970 at Cleveland Stadium. The feat was the first in regards to major league extra-inning games.
