DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Babe Ruth batting during his 1927 barnstorming tour. This game took place in Denver, Colorado at Merchants Park. Ruth has his back towards the camera and a crowd is visible in the background. The caption on the back of the photograph (not shown) reads, "The front of his uniform read Bustin' Babe's. He played an exhibition game teaming with a Denver semi-pro team against Lou Gehrig's Larripin Lous also a Denver semi-pro team. 1927 was the year Babe hit 60 home runs. Babe Ruth played first base with the Piggly Wigglys. Lou Gehrig played first base with the Denver Buicks."
