The baseball bat is held in Baines' right hand behind his back. He appears as though he may take off running to first base. Baines is dressed in a Chicago White Sox road uniform. Unidentified baseball players are visible in the dugout. An unidentified stadium is in the background and is filled with baseball fans. Based on Baines' uniform and his time with the White Sox, this slide was taken in approximately September of 1986.
