DescriptionAn official scorecard with a program for a game between the South Bend Blue Sox and the Grand Rapids Chicks, May 30, 1945. This is game 1 of a doubleheader. The scorecard has the lineups written in pen, as well as the scoring. There is no inning-by-inning details, noted are doubles, triples, home runs. The line scores are filled in as well as individual game statistics such as at-bats, runs, hits. There is a line score written in for game 2 of the doubleheader. The front cover has a grey background with an illustration of a Grand Rapids Chicks player, in a blue uniform and cap. The top reads "Grand Rapids Girls' Professional Ball Club". Near the bottom, in a baseball, is the name of the team, Grand Rapids Chicks, and to the right it states that all home games are played at South High Field. The bottom reads "Official Program." The back cover has a list of supporters and sponsors, and states the team was organized in March 1945.
