Stan Musial Batting Championship trophy bat

DescriptionSterling silver trophy bat, 49.5 ounces, with "Hillerich & Bradsby Co. / Louisville Slugger / 125 / Powerized and Oil Tempered" engraved in the center of the bat and "Genuine / Stan Musial (facsimile signature) / Louisville Slugger" engraved near the end of the barrel. Between these two engravings is "Batting Champion 1952 / National League / B.A. .336," also engraved. Barrel end has "International Sterling / AZ4859L" stamped into the center.

Bio/Historical NoteHillerich and Bradsby, makers of Louisville Slugger, presented Stan Musial with this Silver Bat Award for leading the National League in batting in 1952. Musial won the NL batting title an amazing seven times in his 22-year career.
