DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of the Fort Wayne Daisies, Grand Rapids Chicks, and Rockford Peaches walking down the steps at the University of Havana during spring training in Cuba in 1947. Each team is led by their chaperone and manager, Marian "Stancy" Stancevic and George Johnson for Fort Wayne, Dottie Hunter and John "Johnny" Rawlings for Grand Rapids, and Mildred Lundhal and Eddie Ainsworth for Rockford. Various spectators, students, and police officers are also on the steps.
