DescriptionA full-length color photograph of Chipper Jones batting. Jones, facing the camera, wears an Atlanta Braves home uniform, helmet, and batting gloves. Standing with feet apart, knees slightly bent, Jones looks forward over his right shoulder, in the direction of the oncoming ball. Rotating his upper body to his right, in preparation to hit the ball, Jones places his left hand over his right on the grip of the bat, holding it above his back left shoulder. The opposing Montreal Expos catcher, umpire, and fellow Braves teammates can be seen in the photograph. Captured in-game, an occupied stadium is visible in the background. The creation date, June, 24 1999, has been assigned by the photographer.
