DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Eddie Plank captured in his wind up. Plank has a serious expression on his face. His hands are held together up over his head. Plank's feet are right next to each other. He is dressed in a Philadelphia Athletics home uniform. Plank was a left handed pitcher for the Athletics from 1901 through 1914. A baseball bat is visible on the ground off to the side of Plank. Several unidentified baseball players are visible on the field in the background. Columbia Park stadium, which is filled with fans, is visible in the background. The caption on the front of the photograph (not shown) states, "Eddie Plank The Winning Pitcher of the Philadelphia American League Team from whom Connie Mack Expects Great Things This Season." Based on Plank's uniform and his time with the Athletics this photograph was taken between 1901 and 1908.
