DescriptionA black-and-white, full length posed photograph of Ty Cobb in his Detroit Tigers home uniform holding a bat. Cobb is looking off slightly to his left, beyond the camera. The bat rests flat against his thighs, supported by his hands which are shoulder width apart. A black background is behind him. Based on the styling of the uniform and Cobb's time with the Tigers, the photograph was probably taken between 1908 and 1911.
