DescriptionCelluloid button with a black-and-white portrait depiction of Babe Ruth wearing a Boston Braves cap on the obverse. Reverse has a round plastic scorer with an artist's rendering of a baseball game in process. There are round openings for "Runs," "Home," "Visitors," "Strikes," "Balls" and "Innings." Bottom edge of button has the manufacturer name, "Parisian Novelty Co., Chicago."
Bio/Historical NoteGeorge Herman "Babe" Ruth played for the Boston Red Sox (1914-1919), New York Yankees (1920-1934), and Boston Braves (1935). He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936 as one of the "First Five" members.
