Letter from Harold C. Habein, M.D. to Whom It May Concern

DescriptionTyped letter, on Mayo Clinic letterhead, dated June 19, 1939 from Harold C. Habein, M.D. regarding Lou Gehrig's illness. Gehrig was found to be suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Habein further explains that while Gehrig can no longer play baseball, he may continue to serve in an executive capacity. The letter is typed using black ink and is signed by Habein using black ink. The verso (not shown) is blank with dried glue stains. This letter was removed from scrapbook 54, volume 2, part 2.
