Bio/Historical NoteBaseball with pink stitching and stamped lettering, including the Pink Ribbon for Breast Cancer Awareness, used in game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Chicago White Sox on May 12, 2013. The White Sox defeated the Angels 3-0. Since 2006, MLB has honored Mother's Day and breast cancer awareness by permitting players to use pink painted bats and wear pink accessories such as wristbands and shoelaces but this was the first time MLB approved a baseball to have pink stitching and printing.
