DescriptionWooden bat, 33 ounces, with black painted barrel and natural stain handle and knob covered in a thick layer of pine tar. Bat has been broken into two separate pieces. Center of the barrel has "M / Marucci / Bone Rubbed" with "Handcrafted For / Devin Mesoraco / DM39 Custom Cut - M" near the end of the barrel. Barrel end tip is cupped. There is an MLB Authentication hologram sticker near the end of the barrel. "39" is inscribed on the knob end. Handle has an MLB Authentication hologram sticker as well.
Bio/Historical NoteBat used by Devin Mesoraco of the Cincinnati Reds to homer in five consecutive games before splitting it on a ground out. To log the major's first "home run cycle" in order, he hit a solo home run on June 19, 2014, a two-run homer on June 20, a three-run shot on June 21, and, after a day off, a grand slam.
