Luis Aparicio negative
Date1963
DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Luis Aparicio dressed in a Baltimore Orioles home uniform kneeling on his left knee and leaning on a bat. Aparicio is smiling and looking beyond the camera with his right arm resting on his knee and his left hand holding the bat. Another player, wearing the number "12" [perhaps John Orsino], is standing to the left behind Aparicio, facing away from the camera towards the field in the batter's on-deck circle. There are other players in the outfield and the outfield wall and scoreboard has advertisements including "Hamm's." The empty scoreboard shows that Baltimore is going to play Boston. Stadium lighting poles and floodlights are in the background right behind Aparicio's head. Based on Luis Aparicio's time with the Baltimore Orioles and the uniform style, this image was taken in 1963.
