The caption (not shown) reads " Julia, adopted daughter of "Babe" Ruth, seems to be having the best of the battle during the boxing session in McGovernor's Gymnasium in New York, Jan. 19th--according to Babe's pained expression. Artie McGovernor,[McGovern] trainer, is the referee in the bout which took place during a training session of the slugger in preparation for the coming season."
