DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Babe Ruth mourners. There are about seven adults and six children pictured. The caption (not shown) reads "The kids loved him best, as he did them. Their chagrin at his passing is graphically mirrored in the expression of 9-year-old Norman Thompson of Floral Park, L.I. The Babe would have been pleased with his mourning garb-a baseball suit. An across the front of the blouse-'Yankees.'"
