The caption (not shown) reads "Two New York youngsters, Robert Peterkin, 11, (left), and Michael Walsh, 9, stand at the bier of Babe Ruth in Yankee Stadium, New York, Aug. 17, still holding baseball equipment with which they had been playing on a nearby diamond. The pair were part of thousands of fans who paid homage to the baseball immortal as he lay in state in the rotunda of - 'The House that Ruth built.'"
