DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Joe and Sally Vosmik seated on a couch with their dog, Ginger on January 19, 1936, after just learning Vosmik is being traded to the St. Louis Browns. The image caption on the reverse reads, "The Vosmiks Ask 'Ginger' Cleveland, Jan. 19--'What Do You Think About It, 'Ginger?' Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vosmik--He's the Cleveland Indians' left fielder just traded to the St. Louis Browns--ask their cocker spaniel, Ginger, as they discuss the deal that will take Vosmik away from his home town. Many Clevelanders didn't like it, but Joe himself said, 'It may be the best thing in the world for me.'"
