BiographyJohn Connor r founded the Brooklyn Royal Giants which he owned and operated from 1904 through most of the 1913 season. He was also partnered with Baron Wilkins to own and operate the Atlantic City Bacharach Giants from 1919 to 1921 and the Bacharach Giants of New York during the 1922 season. John Connor represented the “new” black leadership that was developing in baseball. He was extremely well respected as both a businessman and baseball team owner.
