BiographyBill Lewis played for the St. Louis Cardinals (1933) and Boston of the National League (1935-1936, known as Braves 1912-1935, then Bees 1936-1940) as a catcher and pinch hitter. His nickname was Buddy. After his playing career, Lewis managed in the minor leagues, scouted for the Cardinals, and scouted for the New York Mets.
