BiographyWladimir Balentien is a former major leaguer who played in the 2004 Olympics and 2013 and 2017 World Baseball Classic. He beat up minor league pitching at the Triple A level, made his major league debut in 2007 and became a home run star in Japan, winning home run titles his first two years before setting the all-time Nippon Pro Baseball single season record in 2013. He was an outfielder.
