Hardy Richardson played for the Buffalo Bisons of the National League (1879-1885), Detroit Wolverines of the National League (1886-1888), Boston Beaneaters of the National League (1889), Boston Reds of the Players League (1890), Boston Reds of the American Association (1891), Washington Senators of the National League (1892), and the New York Giants (1892) as a second baseman, outfielder, and third baseman.
