Biography"WCVB-TV, virtual channel 5 (UHF digital channel 33), is an ABC-affiliated television station licensed to Boston, Massachusetts, United States. The station is owned by the Hearst Television subsidiary of New York City-based Hearst Communications. WCVB-TV's studios are located on TV Place (..). ts transmitter is located on Cedar Street, also in Needham (...). The original WHDH-TV signed off for the last time on March 18, 1972, and was replaced by the new WCVB-TV early the next morning.
