Rogato, Grace, 1932-1993

BiographyGrace Rogato, on 1951, tried out for the AAGPBL, was assigned to the Battlecreek Belles, but was injured and had to return home. She continued to play softball around New England. Playing in four World Tournaments. In 1969, she was inducted into the Massachustts Softball Hall of Fame, and remains one of only two women so honored. She was also a great basketball player, starring in the old Police Athletic League and Boston Park League. She even tried her hand at field hockey, she made the first team on Vermont's entry in the U.S. Field Hockey Association."---aagpbl.org
