BiographyWhitey Wietelmann played for Boston of the National League (1939-1946, known as Bees 1936-1940, then Braves 1941- ) and the Pittsburgh Pirates (1947) as a shortstop, second baseman, and third baseman. After his playing career, Wietelmann served as a coach for the Cincinnati Reds and the San Diego Padres.
