BiographyThe Brooklyn Eagles played baseball for one season. In 1935 they were members of the Negro National League and went 15-12. Leon Day (9-4, 2.87 RA) was second in the league in RA and fourth with 38 strikeouts. The other star was OF Rap Dixon, who hit .395. The team played in Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, NY. The club was bought by Abe Manley, who merged them with the Newark Dodgers to form the Newark Eagles in 1936.
