BiographyRichard Carr graduated from Cooperstown High School in the class of 1946. In the mid-1940s, Carr worked at Augur's and in the early 1950s, accepted full- time employment at Augur's, a place that would become one of his lifelong passions. It is widely known that Richard made Augur's not only a store that provided quality books, stationery and gifts, but one that was a friendly and welcoming gathering place.
