"The Columbus White Sox were a minor league team based in Columbus, GA. They played in the Southern League for the 1969 season and were affiliated with the Chicago White Sox. In 1970 the team became an affiliated with the Houston Astros and changed their name to the Columbus Astros. Part of the Southern League, the team played at Golden Park. In 1989 and 1990 the team changed their name to Columbus Mudcats. In 1991 the team changed location and name."--Wikipedia
