Weatherly is looking over his left shoulder as he holds the baseball bat over his right shoulder and his back foot twists in the ground. Weatherly is dressed in the Cleveland Indians road uniform. An unidentified baseball player is visible in the background leaning against the railing to the unidentified stadium. Based on Weatherly's uniform and his time with the Cleveland Indians this digital image was taken between 1936 and 1937.
