DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Mel Ott captured sitting at a desk with an unidentified gentleman. Ott is leaning back in his chair behind the desk with his hands placed behind his head. Ott has his head turned slightly to his left and is smiling at the unidentified gentleman who is smiling back at Ott; the gentleman is holding a pad of paper and a pen. Numerous items clutter Ott's desk, such as a telephone, baseball figurines, an ashtray, newspapers and stacks of other papers. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants home uniform. The unidentified gentleman, who is probably a reporter, is dressed in a striped suit and fedora hat. Based on Ott's uniform and his time with the New York Giants, this negative was taken between 1940 and 1947.
