The Giants' secretary, Eddie Brannick, is also leaning on the desk. Unidentified sports writers are seated around Ott's desk listening attentively. A newspaper clipping on the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "Manager Mel Ott of the New York Giants (seated on table) discusses with reporters possible site for the club's spring training, at an interview in New York, Jan.6.
