Date1920
DescriptionA black-and-white photograph, from left to right, of Mrs. Robinson, Wilbert Robinson, Mrs. Marquard, who is also known as Blossom Seely, and Rube Marquard captured standing on the baseball field. Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Marquard are smiling and are dressed in dresses and jackets. Robinson and Marquard are dressed in the Brooklyn Robins home uniform. Both gentlemen are smiling. Marquard is holding a baseball bat in his right hand. Ebbetts Field Stadium is visible in the background. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph and states, "Remember them? They're Wilbert Robinson and Mrs. Robinson (Ma) as they appeared in 1920, when Uncle Robbie was leading his Dodgers to a pennant with a crew of big pitchers. Ma never missed an Ebbets Field game in those happy baseball days in Brooklyn." A caption is written on the back of the photograph that states, "Uncle Robbie + Mrs. Robinson." Another caption is written on the back of the photograph that states, "Rube Marquard wife." Based on Robinson and Marquard's uniform and their time with the Brooklyn Robins this photograph was taken in 1920.
