DescriptionThe scorecard is from a Pittsburgh Alleghenys vs. Indianapolis Hoosiers game on July 21, 1888 at Seventh Street Park in Indianapolis Indiana. The game was won by Pittsburgh by a score of 13 to 4. The scorecard is printed with black ink and filled out with pencil. The scorecard opens vertically and has advertisements for Topical Twist Cigar, Jas. R. Ross & Co. Cor. Washington and Meridian Sts, John Clune Furniture, Henry Smith Restaurant, The Daily Sentinel, A. B. Gates & Co.'s, and Ball Park concessions. The bottom right section of the scorecard has been torn off. The front is an image of George Myers from the chest up wearing a suit and looking to his left. Framing the image of top are two crossed baseball bats, two baseballs a catcher's mask, and two baseball gloves. Framing the bottom of the image is a mesh design and a caption that reads "Geo. Myers." From top to bottom the page reads "Official Score Card 1888 Indianapolis Base Ball Club." At the bottom of the page is an advertisement for When Clothing Store.
