DescriptionA receipt for yearly dues to the Mercantile Base Ball Club dated October 14, 1863. It is made out to Mr. W. P. Ellison, below in large black print is the team name. On the left side it has the yearly dues as $3.00 and signed by the treasurer, name is possibly "James C. Gaswood." On the back, the team name is handwritten along with "Dues for 1863, $3.00, W. P. Ellison."
