DescriptionGray wool uniform cap, size 7, with a red button at the top crown, a red bill and red pinstripes. Interior has a leather sweatband and white seam taping. "Martin" is handwritten in blue ink in one area of the seam taping.
Bio/Historical NoteCap worn by Pepper Martin of the St. Louis Cardinals during the 1931 World Series. Played from October 1st to October 10th, the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Philadelphia Athletics, 4-3, to win the 1931 World Series.
