DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Lefty Grove captured after releasing a pitch during a warm up on the sidelines of a baseball field. Grove has a straight face as he looks over his left shoulder. His left foot is lifted off the ground and his left arm is extended out in front of his body. Grove is dressed in a Philadelphia Athletics road uniform. An unidentified stadium is in the background and baseball fans are visible in the stands. Based on Grove's uniform and his time with the Athletics, this photograph was taken in either 1929 or 1930.
