Bert Blyleven Pitching slide

DescriptionA color slide of Bert Blyleven pitching in a California Angels away uniform in 1992. Blyleven is balanced on his left leg as he finishes his delivery to the plate during an unidentified game. The photograph was taken from a spot near the first base dugout. The crowd along the third base line can be seen in the background of the image, but no individuals are discernible. The slide was dated by the presence of the patch that reads "DJ" on the right shoulder of Blyleven's uniform. The Angels wore this patch in memory of coach Deron Johnson who had passed away from lung cancer during the early part of the 1992 season.
