DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Nellie Fox captured standing at the edge of the dugout, pulling out a baseball bat. Fox has a large wad of chewing tobacco in his left cheek and he is looking off onto the field. Several teammates wearing Chicago White Sox road uniforms are visible in the background. The caption on the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "Nellie Fox- Second Baseman Taken at Yankee Stadium, NYC, Prior to night game..6/3/58." The White Sox lost this game to the Yankees 0-13. Based on the caption, this photograph was taken on June 3, 1958.
