DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Connie Mack captured as he gives a speech to the Philadelphia Athletics team. Mack is dressed in a dark suit and hat. He has his right hand held out. Players from the Philadelphia Athletics surround Mack in the shape of a crescent with some players standing while others are squatting down. Baseball bats and baseball gloves are visible. A banner is hanging in the background between two palm trees that states, "Philadelphia Plays Here." The team is dressed in the Philadelphia Athletics road uniform. Based on the players' uniforms this photograph was taken between 1946 and 1949.
