He has just finished his swing and his body is twisted with his lower body facing the pitcher's mound, his upper body facing third base and he is looking towards the field. He has let go of the bat with his right hand but is still holding on to it with his left hand, which is behind him. In the background is the photo well and the grandstand. The photograph is taken from the first base side of the field.
