Bio/Historical NoteWorking the front end of a double steal, Tim Raines of the Montreal Expos slid safely into this third base bag to record the 500th stolen base of his career on August 13, 1987. The speedster went on to steal over 300 more bases, becoming one of just five big leaguers with at least 800 thefts.
