DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of seven Grand Rapids Chicks players sitting in the dugout listening to the manager, Johnny Rawlings, who is standing in front of the dugout facing them. The players are arranged in two rows - one sitting on the bench in the dugout (Twila "Twi" Shively, Connie Wisniewski, Jane "Jeep" Stoll) and one on the stairs leading out of the dugout (Elsie Wingrove, Ruth "Tex" Lessing, Ernestine "Teeny" Petras, Alma Ziegler). Spectators fill the stands behind the dugout. The photograph was probably taken in 1947 based on when the players were on the team.
