Description1949 All-American Girls Girls Professional Baseball League Summer Tour schedule for the Chicago Colleens and Springfield Sallies. The schedule has the list of cities, the dates the games will be held, and the hotel that the teams would be staying in. There is also "Baseball tour 1949" hand written at the bottom of the page. The ink has faded but the indent is still clearly visible.

Bio/Historical NoteThe Chicago Colleens were a women's professional baseball team who played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. The team represented Chicago, Illinois and played their home games at Shewbridge Field at the corner of South Morgan and West 74th Streets on the South Side of Chicago, now part of the campus of the Stagg School of Excellence. The Springfield Sallies were a women's professional baseball team who joined the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League in the 1948 season. The team represented Springfield, Illinois, and played their games at Jim Fitzgerald Memorial Stadium.|
