DescriptionNavy blue cap with "NYPD" embroidered in white on the front. Reverse has an adjustable hook-and-loop band with "NYPD" embroidered in white. Underside of the bill is light gray with "2" handwritten in black ink in the center near the sweatband. Interior white cloth sweatband has a manufacturer label on the proper left side, "Collegiate / One Size Fits All."
Bio/Historical NoteAfter the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the baseball season was suspended for nearly a week. In the New York Mets' first game after baseball resumed play, manager Bobby Valentine wore this cap to honor the New York Police Department.
