Bio/Historical NoteThe World Tour of 1888-1889 was known as the Spalding Australian World Tour. It was organized by A.G. Spalding and took the Chicago White Stockings and an All-Star American team around the world. The main stops of the trip were Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, France, Ireland and the UK.
