DescriptionA color full length photograph of Derrek Lee batting at Bank One Ballpark in 1999. Lee is in the right handed batter's box and wearing a Florida Marlins road uniform. Lee's body is facing the camera but he is looking over his left shoulder towards the pitcher's mound. With both hands he is holding a baseball bat that is hovering over his back (right) shoulder. His front (left) leg is bent at the knee and in the air. In the background are unidentified Arizona Diamondbacks team members in the dugout and a full crowd in the grandstand. The photograph is taken from the first base side of the field.
Bio/Historical NoteDerrek Leon Lee (born September 6, 1975), or "D-Lee", is a former Major League Baseball first baseman. Lee played with the San Diego Padres (1997), the Florida Marlins (1998–2003), the Chicago Cubs (2004–2010), the Atlanta Braves (2010), the Baltimore Orioles (2011) and the Pittsburgh Pirates (2011). He bats and throws right-handed. Lee was a World Series Champion with Florida in 2003, and he won the National League batting title in 2005. He was a two-time All-Star selection, and won the Gold Glove Award three times.
