DescriptionA black-and-white, full length photograph of Thornton Lee pitching in 1948. Lee, wearing a New York Giants home uniform, is mid-windup. Lee's weight is balanced on his left foot while his right swings up, as evidenced by the blur around that foot. His left hand holds a baseball at knee level while his right, gloved hand is held at waist level. Lee's head is turn and looking over his right shoulder. It appears that Lee was photographed near the edge of the field near the stadium seats.
