DescriptionA black-and-white, full length, photograph of Honus Wagner and Roger Bresnahan in-game. Wagner is captured in his batting stance waiting for the pitch while Bresnahan is in his Catcher's stance. Wagner is wearing the Pittsburgh Pirates road uniform, whereas Bresnahan is dressed in the St. Louis Cardinals home uniform. An unidentified umpire is in the background. The caption on the front of the photograph states, "Ready for the Wallop. Hans Wagner, Pittsburg Club, Well Set for the Coming Ball; Bresnahan, St. Louis Nationals, Behind the Bat." Based on their uniforms and their time with their respective teams, this photograph was taken in 1909.
